My name is Conrad and this is my website. I’m an entrepreneur, investor, husband, father, son, friend and struggling golfer in the Midwest’s winter.

Through a combination of 1-to-1 personal development, leadership systems, my accumulated resources & network, and a proven playbook to create an effective Marketing & Sales strategy, I aim to 2x the bottom line of our portfolio companies in 24 months.

 

Mission

My 15 “BHAG”: The Business & Community Builder - How to buy, build, & sell companies while not working more than 40 hours a week (unless I want to) and creating strong bonds through family, friends & community. My mission is to create a community of successful “accidental entrepreneurs” empowering others to fully live the life of their potential.

  2. Profit Focused - Prioritize what’s important and avoid “majoring in the minors”. We are in the results business, not the time for dollars business.

  3. Transformational Relationships - I aim to build deep, rewarding relationships that pushes each party to grow and be their best self over years and decades (not just after deal 1 is done). I believe people should be in a better spot after we have worked together than before we met. Quality of life is closely tied to quality of relationships.

  4. Enjoy The Journey. Have some fun out there. If it isn’t fun, we have to ask ourselves, what are we doing then?

 

Daily Actions

Daily habits and rhythms are essential to a high-quality, meaningful life. It also helps to accomplish bigger and more impactful goals. Here’s 3 things I commit to each day:

  • Wake up early - A good start often makes a great day.

  • I move my body - Ideally that is a workout, right now, it’s chasing kids around.

  • I smile & laugh - “Can’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out alive”

This is the family-led acquisition umbrella company that acquires online-based businesses and self-storage businesses that have hit their proverbial wall. We take what we’ve learned in previous companies, mix it with the Aegis Coaching Playbook and aim to double the bottom line in 24 months. CAKE is an acronym for our family’s names and is a representation (and reminder) of why I do what I do - for my family and the transformational relationships I get to make through business.

My Journey

I’ve held a variety of positions over the last 15 years. The consistent theme has been in small, growing businesses in which I help to define the vision, build the systems & processes, and roll out an effective marketing & sales machine to achieve rapid growth.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Instead of an internship, I bought my first business in college & won Rookie of the Year for the region.

  • Been a part of a 9 figure exit after learning the strategies of a Silicon Valley marketing department. I credit this to the foundational knowledge I have for building high-growth marketing & sales strategies.

  • Co-Found & Operated a Digital Marketing Agency with a colleague for 5 years. We were responsible for 8 figure advertising budgets, creating online sales funnels and building eCommerce brands in a very competitive space This gave me a hard-earned education in business ownership & innovation.

  • Most recently an Advisor, Executive and Head of Marketing & Sales at a fast-growing start-up in the small business space. I was fortunate enough to join a small team, be a part of growing the team, and building the foundation for the Marketing & Sales department. I learned more than I could have imagined about how to operate a growing company, build a performance culture and how to be an effective leader.

  • It was also at this point that I knew it was time for me to get back into building my (and in turn, my family’s) business future.
